In Cambodia, a Guangtai Medical mobile surgical unit—already put into service—continues to support the “Silk Road Heart-to-Heart” public‑health outreach program. It has traveled to Phnom Penh’s schools, multiple institutions in Koh Kong Province, and remote villages in Pailin Province, working alongside Chinese–Cambodian medical teams to conduct screening for congenital heart disease among children, thereby providing a stable and reliable mobile healthcare platform to serve local primary‑care settings.

From delivery to deployment, and from equipment to services, the value of the mobile surgical unit is being demonstrated time and again through its real‑world deployments. On this occasion, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Hong Kong Cherish Life Foundation, the China Association for International Exchange of Non‑Governmental Organizations, Fuwai Hospital in Yunnan Province, China, the Beijing Pinglan Public Welfare Foundation, the Cambodia–China Friendship Association, the Cambodian Ministry of Health, the Society for the Development of Cambodia–China Relations, the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces General Hospital, as well as all the organizations and medical personnel on the front lines. It is through the concerted efforts of multiple stakeholders and their dedicated professional commitment that this mobile medical platform has truly reached those in need, helping to write a vivid chapter of China–Cambodia friendship and humanitarian cooperation.
Mobile healthcare goes global, with Chinese-made technology safeguarding children’s heartbeats.
This mobile surgical unit, tirelessly operating across Cambodia, is not only a portable medical platform but also a vivid embodiment of China’s intelligent manufacturing serving grassroots healthcare overseas. Since its arrival in Cambodia in 2025, it has played a pivotal role in numerous cross-border life‑saving missions.
On December 20, 2025, a mobile medical unit visited the Khmer–China Friendship Primary School in Phnom Penh, conducting congenital heart disease screenings for 246 students. On March 20, 2026, it arrived at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Secondary School in the capital, providing screening services to 730 students. By bringing mobile medical equipment to school campuses in a flexible and convenient manner, these initiatives bring pediatric health screenings closer to local communities and more directly to the people.

From April 2 to 3, 2026, the Beijing Pinglan Public Welfare Foundation, in collaboration with the Cambodia–China Relations Development Society, joined forces with Cambodia’s Ministry of Health, the Mekong Institute, and a team of 30 physicians from China, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Myanmar. Together with a seven‑member congenital heart disease screening team from Yunnan Fuwai Hospital, they conducted a two‑day congenital heart disease screening campaign in Koh Kong Province. The initiative reached 17 schools, screening a total of 6,381 students, thereby demonstrating the strong organizational capacity and effective implementation of cross‑border medical cooperation in grassroots public health services.

On May 19, 2026, the mobile medical unit returned to Dongspor Commune, Barabong District, Banteay Meanchey Province. The Beijing Pinglan Public Welfare Foundation, together with physician representatives from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Hospital, conducted medical screenings for more than 1,200 students across four schools in a single day. The local district governor, commune chief, and head of the district health center accompanied the team throughout the event. An ambulance and five local physicians worked in close coordination on site, underscoring the Cambodian side’s high regard for and strong confidence in this initiative.
With professionalism and reliability, we serve the frontline of primary healthcare.
As of May 21, 2026, the “Silk Road Hearts United” mobile medical‑surgical vehicle program has provided free congenital heart disease screenings to more than 8,500 Cambodian children. Behind these concrete figures lies the tangible value of mobile medical equipment—reaching grassroots communities, delivering care on the ground, and saving lives.
Throughout its ongoing service, the Guangtai Mobile Surgical Unit has demonstrated strong environmental adaptability and robust system integration capabilities. The vehicle can be equipped with advanced medical devices tailored to various clinical settings, ensuring stable operation even in Cambodia’s hot, humid climate. Its agile, mobile chassis enables access to remote rural areas, while the interior’s well‑designed spatial layout and purified air environment provide reliable support for screening, diagnosis, treatment, and essential medical procedures.

Guangtai Medical firmly believes that superior products are not merely about delivery—they also deliver enduring, reliable value over the long term. Looking ahead, Guangtai Medical will continue to collaborate with partners across the board, bringing more mobile medical equipment to markets worldwide, leveraging China’s advanced manufacturing to enhance global healthcare accessibility and ensuring that health services reach those who need them most.
